Newmarket Eagles Cycling Club

The Newmarket Eagles Cycling Club (NECC) Race Team had a very successful return to racing in 2023, racing with great distinction in multiple disciplines: road, track, cyclocross, gravel and mountain bike.

In 2023, the NECC Race Team showed our sponsors logos at races throughout Ontario, and upstate New York. 

 

While fulfilling our stated goal to “Have fun, be safe, cycle hard and be a good teammate”, the Eagles earned some impressive palmarès in 2023:

• Mark Herbst won Gold at the Ontario Road Race Master D Provincial Championship.

• Mark Hopper won Gold in the Ontario Track Championships in the Master D Individual Pursuit, Scratch, Tempo and Points races.

 

NECC Race Team members, as well as general Newmarket Eagles Cycling Club members, wear our team kit proudly, displaying our sponsors’ support not only at races far and wide, but also on our frequent training rides throughout the GTA.

 

The Race Team is always open to Eagles who want to race in 2024.  The Team is open to all Eagles club members.  Please review the "Race Team FAQ sheet."
