Meeting Location for Wednesday 6pm ride

Our Goal

The goal of the Newmarket eGALS is to instruct and inspire female cyclists of all abilities to ride more confidently in a safe and inclusive environment. This is not a learn to ride program, but rather a women’s only riding group. We love to ride our bikes, any speed.

Our Mission

We are dedicated to providing equal opportunities for women to gain riding confidence on the roads in and around York Region. Our time together will include clinics on bike maintenance and cycling tips, while improving bike handling and group riding skills.

Inclusion & Community

The Newmarket eGALS is a women-centered cycling group for women and for non-binary and gender-diverse riders who are comfortable in a women-centered space.  We are committed to creating a positive and respectful environment for everyone. All participants are expected to treat others with respect and dignity, use inclusive language, respect names and pronouns and contribute to a safe and supportive group riding atmosphere.

The Newmarket eGALS meet up and ride out at 6:00 PM on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings at 8:30 AM throughout the summer at Vandorf Park on Woodbine Ave, north of Vandorf Sideroad near the Whitchurch-Stouffville Museum and at Fairy Lake, the Riverwalk Commons parking lot (Doug Duncan Drive), north of Timothy Street, Newmarket. Check the Saturday routes 2026 TBC (link)

Friday morning Breakfast Club rides also depart from Vandorf Park at 6:00 AM — check social channels for updates and cancellations.
